Programming assistant in grant “Riskiness of financial decisions under the influence of emotions evoking approach or withdrawal behavioral tendencies”
Our team is conducting research in the project “Riskiness of financial decisions under the influence of emotions evoking approach or withdrawal behavioral tendencies”, granted by the National Science Center to the Faculty of Psychology, University of Warsaw. We are looking for students or graduates of psychology and other cognitive sciences, as well as students or graduates of science or technology (including mathematics, physics, informatics) interested in behavioral sciences, for the position of
PROGRAMMING ASSISTANT / PROGRAMMER
We offer the possibility of gaining experience in conducting behavioral experiments, working in a research team and growing methodological expertise.
Job description:
- Programming behavioral experiments in jsPsych/lab.js (JavaScript) and/or PsychoJs/PsychoPy (Python)
- Testing the experiments, verifying the data collected in the procedures
Job requirements:
- Knowledge of at least one of the following libraries/languages/software: jsPsych or lab.js (JavaScript) and/or PsychoJs/PsychoPy (Python)
- Experience in creating behavioral/psychological/cognitive experiments and/or conducting research
- Interest in cognitive and behavioral sciences
Flexible working hours, 10-15 hours per week, mostly during programming the experiments.
We offer 800 Euros for developing one modifiable procedure (one experiment with the possibility of changing stimuli, loops, trials etc., around 60 hours of work).
